About Charlie

Mr. Perry co-founded Highland Associates in 1987. Previously, Mr. Perry ran the Investment Management Consulting Group at Interstate/Johnson Lane Securities. Mr. Perry currently serves as the chair of the Investment Committee for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health Services Foundation. He also serves as trustee for Hampden-Sydney College where he is chair of the Budget and Audit Committees. Mr. Perry currently serves as president of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees. He also serves on the board of The Nature Conservancy, Alabama chapter, the board and executive committee of the United Way of Central Alabama, and the board of the Greater Alabama Council of Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Perry was recently elected to the Board of Trustees at Birmingham-Southern College. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University.
