About Charlie

Mr. Perry co-founded Highland Associates in 1987. Previously, Mr. Perry ran the Investment Management Consulting Group at Interstate/Johnson Lane Securities. Mr. Perry currently serves as the Chair of the Investment Committee for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health Services Foundation as well as the Board of the Health Services Foundation. He also serves on the Board of the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mr. Perry currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Board of The Nature Conservancy, Alabama chapter and VP-Investments on the Executive Board of the Greater Alabama Council of Boy Scouts of America. He is also on the Board and Executive Committee of the United Way of Central Alabama and was recently elected to the Board of Trustees for Birmingham-Southern College. Mr. Perry is the incoming president of the Downtown Rotary Club of Birmingham, AL. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University.
